Dukaan | The success story

Dukaan is an India- originated application that works for retailers and merchants to build their own online stores and sell things on an online platform. Dukaan was founded in the year 2020 by Suumit Shah and Subhash Choudhary.

At present, the company exists in more than 2200 cities all over the country. It was experienced that due to the COVID-19 lockdown, many sellers were forced to shut their businesses. To solve the problem of selling, Shah and Choudhary founded this online platform and named it as- Dukaan.

The story of Dukaan

In the tough times of the pandemic, Suumit Shah got a text from the Jockey store in which we have now started accepting orders on WhatsApp was written. This was an idea for Shah, and he decided to create an online marketplace where small retailers and merchants could list their products without any hassle. On the initial basis, it was quite a challenging part. But, Shah thought about the millions of shopkeepers and tried to help them by creating an easy-to-use platform.

In May 2020, they officially launched the application - Dukaan. Very soon the company launched more than 150000 stores across 400 cities in the country. This easy-to-use and affordable platform helped the shopkeepers to run their businesses. The application takes only 30 seconds to create its own store on the app.

Dukaan’s motive

The passion of Suumit’s and Subhash’s was to help others was very inspiring. It took 48 hours to build an app to help millions of people all around the country. Hard work is the key to success. It is notable that determination, perseverance, and passion lead to success. We should always believe in ourselves and our dreams. We must learn from mistakes and try to improve ourselves and our skills.
